Adventure: 99 Bottles

Name: 99 Bottles

Source: 99 Bottles adventure

Plot: A new criminal Organization is taking advantage of the Yakuza's weakness after the recent coup and is killing off their leadership. The party is hired to investigate due to Yak manpower shortages and can optionally assist in the assault on the CrimOrg compound.

Organization: Dawood Syndicate: religiously organized crime syndicate, specializes in hashish contriband and extortion of the Muslim population.

Organization: Hodo-Kai: splinter group of Yaks loyal to Aya's father; women, cybered, magic users, don't fit the 'ideals' of traditional Yaks, their acceptance by Aya's father was a large factor in his being overthrown.

Organization: Kuroiban-gumi: traditionalist Yaks Organization in the STL. Recently went through turmoil ousting a more modern Oyabun. Run smuggling, trafficing, illegal cyber out of Asia. Lack of Japanese native base hampers their activities.

Organization: Whites: Replace with White Nationalists Phineous Priesthood. Conducts terrorist attacks on ethnic businesses and will target homeless and street people of color.

Organization: Yellow Lotus Triad: Chinese Organized Crime, or at least a branch of it. Like the Yaks, hindered by the lack of a 'Chinatown' or population base. Replace in this adventure with Mafya.

Organization: Kalakedar: New subcontinental Indian Organized Crime group based on Hindu nationalism trying to move into STL. Strong magical support from Shiva/Kali Initiates, and fanatical grunts who see death as shortcut to Nirvana. Very Anti-Muslim.

Person: Hodo Kameko: One of twins leading Hodo-Kai. Is Initiate in Shinto tradition. Impulsive, wild-child, will leap into bad decisions knowing she is doing so. Was on internal security team of Yaks before the split, specialized in recon and info gathering spells.

Person: Hodo Kisho: One of twins leading Hodo-Kai. Is Initiate in Shinto tradition. Pragmatic, was mid level operational manager for pre-split Yaks. Favors protective buff spells ("Combat spells take too damn long") and a gun for combat.

Person: Hohiro Daike: Born Rusty Childers in CA, Hohiro loved drones and tech and became a Yak almost by accident when he stumbled upon a Yak infiltration team preparing to hit a Triad drug warehouse in Fresno. He jumped into the operation, using his drones to provide real-time tactical info to the assault team, and then tagged along when they exfiltrated. Initially held hostage his willing, nay enthusiastic, insistance on assisting with any activity gained him a reprieve from execution. Being fourth generation American but technically racially Japanese Hohiro was sent to Japan for Yak training but retained his SoCal sensibilities and fashion sense. Was assigned to the Kuroiban-gumi to assist with IT integration and security he had an interest in Hodo Kameko but sided with the traditionalists in the split as he did not see the New Way Yaks winning. Will be an advocate to reunite the Kuroiban-gumi with the Hodo-Kai after this adventure. Wears Hawaiian shirts and has his hair tips frosted. Talks like the surfer he was when preoccupied.

Person: Mahadevan: Kalakedar magician, apprentice to Skanda Nair, runs daily operations of the cult, came up with the idea to use Yak tattoos as focuses for Kalakedar magicians. Prefers combat spells that weaken or incapacitate his enemies.

Person: Shinoda Yoshinori: an accountant in the Kuroiban-gumi, after split was promoted to run all gambling operations for STL Yaks. With death of Oyabun and Yak leadership, is now Oyabun. Not prepared or qualified for this. Will approach Gentry with request for assistance because of Aya's presense. Will advocate for Aya to take control of Yaks after adventure if she brought Hodo-Kai into play.

Person: Skanda Nair: born with four arms, Skanda Nair was considered blessed by Kali. Raised by nationalist monks to be a warrior of his faith, he is leading the rise of the Kalakedar in STL so it can then spread through the UCA and CSA. A high level initiate, Skanda Nair favors bound spirits instead of spells.

Person: Falah Almarri: head of the Dawood Syndicate in the Metroplex, Almarri is a Yemini who runs a hole-in-the-wall restaurant in North City. Willing to sell info about the attacks to the Yaks in exchange for control of the hashish trade in STL.

Outcome: If Kalakedar defeat the Yaks, Japan home office will send a heavy force in to retake operations and expand, leading to criminal warfare in the Metroplex. Kalakedar will be engergized and attempt to consolidate as much power as possible before this can happen, and will push against Gentry seeing him as a weak target, not understanding the Vampyre connection allows him to punch above his weight class. Other groups will hunker down and try to snipe targets of opportunity away from Yak Organization and Gentry if possible. Notes: "Replace Triads with Mafya. Replace Indian cult with Death Cult in Fairgrounds Park from GameIdeas page. If successful, Ava can become the Oyabun of the Metroplex Yakuza."
