Goblin Arrow Cave

Area 1 - Ambush

As is, except the wagon was being drawn by 2 oxen. There is sign of a struggle, but Gundren Barthen, the kid , and Sildar Hardwinter

Creature - Goblins = PCs x 1.5

Room 2 - Goblin Blind

Area - Sparsley wooded area, cave mouth to north with stream running out and south.

As is.

Creature - Goblins = PCs x 1.5

Room 3 - Kennel

Area - Approximately 20' x 20' rhombus. Door up stairs to the W and a 20' chimney to the NE

Swap wolves for Velociraptors

Otherwise - As Is.

Velociraptor x 3 (but 1/2 HP)

Room 4 - Steep Passage

Area ~ 10' wide, angles up to the N and then turns E. secondary passage to the W about 30' in. Bridge 20' above passage ~ 45' in (Area 5).

From here all areas in the cave require darkvision or a light source unless stated otherwise.

Creature - Goblin

Room 5 - Overpass

Area - 5' wide bridge, Connects to corridors to the NW and SE.

Bridge has a Hardness of 5 and 10 HP.

DC 10 Acrobatics to avoid falling or damage from bridge or unstable landing.

DC 15 Climb check to reach bridge via walls.

If the watch goblin sees the PCs she alerts the goblins in areas 6 and 7. Three goblins from area 6 move to the bridge with bows and the watch goblin lights a torch. When she has the PCs attention she holds her hand to her lips and makes shushing sounds. She then points the PCs to the side corridor leading to area 6.

If the PCs go to the side corridor they find another goblin on the ledge. In broken Trade the goblin tells the PCs "Send one up passage, talk to Yeemik. No fight Yeemik, just talk." Then in a nasty voice the goblin says "No tricks. Have prisoner."

If the PCs try to attack the goblin or climb to the ledge the goblin runs to area 6, taunting the PCs with the goal of getting enough on the unstable ledge to collapse it on the party. The goblins will then attack with bows and yell for Klarg and his dinosaurs.

Creature - Goblin

Room 6 - Goblin Den

Area - Kidney shaped. 40' wide, 35' long. Corridor to the NE (area 5) and SE (area 4). Souther 1/2 is up a 10' ledge with a rough cut stairway for access.

Ander and Sildar are both on ledge. Ander is bound but unharmed. (Goblins are afraid he may be an agent of The Glasstaff since he is a Tiefling.

Yelmik makes the standard demands, but holds a knife to Sildar's throat. He will show Ander is unharmed, and will offer information on Gundren only after Klarg is dead.

If the PCs agree the goblin who speaks Trade leads the PC to the Bridge to alert the party and then to Area 7.

Creature - Goblin

Treasure - Three gold teeth (equals 3 gp) and 15 sp.

Room 7 - Twin Pools Cave

Area - Large. NE 1/2 is two large dammed reservoirs. Corridors to the NW (area 4), SW (area 5), and stair up to the S (area 8)

Three goblins from Area 6 will join the goblins in this room (including the translator). The translator will point to the stairs to the S and say "Klarg, Pirrep, pets". The goblins step back and wait for the PCs to move to Area 8.

If a fight break out the goblins will then attack while yelling for Klarg, Pirrep, and the dinosaurs. If things go badly some will retreat across the bridge while others run down the passage. The goal is to have the bridge collapse under the PCs splitting the party. Those who didn't fall will be attacked by Klarg an company while any goblins who cann will release the floods in quick succession.

This could be a party killer.

Room 8 - Klarg's Cave

Area - Large, full of rubble. Stairs down N (area 7), chimney down W (area 3).

The wolf is replaced by Pirrep - TBD and the goblins by small Troodon dinosaurs (see Creatures).

PCs can hear a rough voice talking non-stop. If they speak Goblin the voice is boasting of how Klarg will be a great warlord.

Klarg will be surprised to see the PCs but Pirrep will immediately deduce the goblins have betrayed Klarg and will order the Troodon to attack. He will then fight defensively and stay close to the chimney.

Klarg, after his surpise round, will go full attack, shouting for Pirrep and the goblins to come to his aid. If Klarg makes it to Area 7 the goblins attack him en masse. Either way he fights to the death, being to macho to run. The troodon will flee and become a breeding pair in the wild.

If Klarg is killed or the fight seems lost, Pirrep will leap down the chimney and race past the velociraptors. He will release them if he has the opportunity. His priority is to escape into the woods to alert his commander to the goblins' betrayal and the hideout's exposure.

The velociraptors will free themselves two rounds after Pirrep runs through the kennel. They will form a pack and breed, becoming a larger problem in the area as the story continues.

Two potions of Healing Flames which glow with a divine white radiance. Strong positive energy if scanned with a Detect Good spell.

The provisions are stamped with a variety of merchant marks. Linene will happily take all of the items for the Linene and will reward the PC with 50 gp for exclusive knowledge of the stash.
