Pixlings are halfling sized humanoids with two pairs of dragonfly shaped wings. Pixlings tend to be clannish and untrusting of other races, a legacy of past enslavement. Many tend to claustrophobia when underground, and feel uncomfortalble in human sized dwellings due to the closeness of the ceiling. Pixling buildings tend to be tall and slender, opening onto a central column and taking advantage of their occupants' airborne abilities. Stairs are a rarity.

Pixlings look with pity on 'legs,' and see them as inferior. While pixling society is very similar to halflings and humans, pixlings tend to prefer to form colonies away from other races. On clusters where this is not possible they congregate to form their own neighborhood, often derisively called 'Pixtown' by others.

Pixlings are small and fine boned, a biological necessity for flight. They are naturally curious and intelligent, but their refusal to mix with others can silo their learning and stunt their education. They have an intrinsic connection with the Weave, and rare is the pixling who cannot cast a few spells.

In combat pixlings take advantage of their mobility and flight to avoid melee if possible. They favor hand crossbows (1d4 damage) and thrown weapons. If forced to melee they will use katars (punching daggers) which do damage as large knives. Katars cannot be thrown.
