True Blood is a drug derived from Vampyre platelets that a gives the user access to Vampyric advantages without having to take the associated Vampyric disadvantages. It affects Vampyres and humans differently as noted below.
Each HT point worth of blood creates 8 doses of True Blood. Few Vampyres will willingly give their blood to create the drug as it leaves them in a weakened state and desperate to feed. Therefore most True Blood is created from blood drained by force from captive Vampyres. Given the incredible street value of True Blood, the difficulty in capturing a Vampyre, and the retribution they would suffer if discovered by the Court mistreating a Vampyre, most producers will drain their captives empty and destroy the body.
