Description:

The caster inscribes a glowing symbol in the air upon any surface, according to their desire. Any creature looking at the completed symbol within 60 feet must roll a successful POW check or suffer the effect.

The symbol glows and attracts the eye. The particular symbol used is selected by the caster at the time of casting. The caster will not be affected by their own symbol. One of the following effects is chosen by the caster:

Hopelessness: Creatures seeing it must turn back in dejection or surrender to capture.

Pain: Creatures affected suffer +20% penalties to their attack skills and +10% penalties to their Dodge skill due to wracking pains.

Persuasion: Creatures seeing the symbol become friendly to the caster as if under the effect of a Charm Person spell.

All effects last as long as the spell is maintained.
