Description:

This forces the recipient to see things as they are not: rich is poor, rough is smooth, beautiful is ugly. The world takes on a dark cast proportional to the brightness of the ambient light (although it will never get darker than a moonless night). Doors appear in different locations than they are, or backwards, or as furniture, etc. The apparent location of objects is displaced. People or creatures will become invisible. The victim rolls to accertain the true nature of Illusions, apparitions, and Polymorphed or Transmogrified creatures at 2R Disadvantage. The aura projected by creatures becomes visible in such a way that intent is distorted. The range of vision conferred is 120 feet. False Seeing, however, does not penetrate solid objects; it in no way confers X-ray vision or its equivalent. In addition, the spell effects cannot be further enhanced with known magic.

The reverse, True Seeing, causes the person to see things as they are are, penetrating darkness and disguies alike.
